A joint RCVS and BVA survey found that only half of veterinary surgeons who had graduated during the previous eight years felt that their career matched expectations and one in 10 were considering leaving the profession entirely. The BSAVA launched a pilot mentorship programme to help those in the early stages of their career to fulfil their potential and enjoy their work.
