Ownership of non-traditional companion animals (a term preferred to 'exotic pets' by BSAVA, along with the BVA and BVZS) continues to rise and these species often present challenges in practice. This collection is intended to signpost some core resources on species that may not be commonly seen by veterinarians to highlight what is possible in first opinion practice. This collection excludes wildlife, farm pets and the more common small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and mice.
