Here at the BSAVA, sustainability is at the core of all our activities and we are continually looking for ways to offset our carbon footprint on a journey towards carbon neutrality. In this mini-sustainability series we would like to share some ideas on how we can all positively help in our efforts to reduce the pressures which are presently causing detrimental climate changes.

The BSAVA Library has now been going for 6 years! The Library is the home of BSAVA’s digital content and currently contains some 10,000 resources – including manual chapters, Companion articles, lectures, webinars, videos, client leaflets and much more. For those who may not yet be fully familiar with what the BSAVA Library offers, our Head of Publishing, Ian Mellor, responds to some frequently asked questions.

Being 50 years old is a time for BSAVA PetSavers to look back and consider its impact. Much has been achieved by the last 10 years of cardiovascular clinical research funding. Here, we focus on two major cardiac diseases: hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in cats and myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) in dogs.

To celebrate Amphibian week, which is recognized annually the first full week of May (this year 5–11 May), the BSAVA is taking the opportunity of showcasing its suite of exotic animal resources.

But so too are the people who plan and manage blood donation schemes. They ensure that the procedure is comfortable and safe for those that both give and receive this magical life-saving fluid.
