In any veterinary practice that employs eight or more women, there is a strong likelihood that at least one of them will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime.  Alison Lambert, founder of Onswitch, takes us through the monumental changes Covid-19 has brought to the veterinary profession and explains how we can turn these to our advantage.

 Karen Humm of the Royal Veterinary College, together with Sarah Williamson (an ECC RVN formerly of the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals) and Emily Thomas from Dick White Referrals, was awarded PetSavers funding to compare complication rates and methods of checking the placement of naso-oeosphageal and nasogastric feeding tubes using a randomized prospective study. Karen explains the background to the study.

  Nottingham vet school student Rheanna Ellis is working to cure the profession of its diversity problem. She is part of a student team aiming to make veterinary practice a more welcoming place for people from ethnic minority backgrounds and other under-represented groups.
