The work of these inspirational individuals has benefited companion animals and people around the world. The WSAVA Awards are one of the few opportunities for truly global recognition in our sector with this year’s recipients drawn from the USA, Australia and Sri Lanka.

Practice management Author Richard Artingstall“I have seen another surgeon do this procedure and he was much more careful.” If Gloucestershire practitioner Richard Artingstall had been expecting praise from the visiting vet student on his clinical skills, then he didn’t get it. But what he did receive was a valuable lesson in the importance of honest feedback which he passed on to colleagues attending the SPVS/VMG conference that took place in Newport, South Wales earlier this year.
