The quality of entries to Companion’s inaugural student research project has been superb. The Companion editorial panel thoroughly enjoyed reading the wide range of submitted abstracts covering the disciplines of orthopaedics, ophthalmology and internal medicine. It is exciting to see the scope of projects undertaken within the UK’s veterinary schools by the students. These upcoming members of our profession are developing ideas that will challenge practices and help improve veterinary medicine in the future.
