He established the UK’s first dedicated small animal referral practice in 1990 and has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and abstracts.

After a year as house surgeon at Glasgow he went into general practice and became a partner at Wylie and Partners where he continues to work. He’s also involved in rabies control programmes in Asia.
