Abstract
Drug therapy for diseases of the central nervous system (CNS) involves the complicating factors of drug penetration across the blood-brain barrier (BBB), the therapeutic effect on the CNS, and the potential for adverse effects. This chapter looks at drug entry to the brain, anti-infectious drug therapy, anti-inflammatory therapy, anticancer chemotherapy of the nervous system, adverse CNS reactions caused by drugs.
