Rhinoscopy is used in the investigation of clinical signs of nasal disease; investigating dysphagia, head shaking, exophthalmos, facial swelling, pawing at the nose and halitosis (in the absence of dental disease); removal of foreign bodies; and collecting samples for histology, cytology and microbiology.
