Obesity in puppies and kittens: how to prevent it and how to manage it
BSAVA Congress Proceedings 2023Author Georgia Woods-LeeRoyal Canin session. Obesity is a complex and challenging disease to manage in adults and even more so when it occurs in puppies and kittens. A far more successful strategy would be to prevent obesity occurring in the first place. The session will look at the use of evidence-based growth charts and how they play a key role in preventing obesity by highlighting those at risk. Growth charts are also an important monitoring tool that can be used for safe management of obesity during the growth phase.
